Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Resilience Definition: The ability to successfully cope, recover or adjust from a crisis, misfortune or change. “Resilience”, the painting symbolizes the successful psychological process of building resilience through the creative therapies of art, music and dance.
Elements in the painting include a resilient family unit, children and individuals surrounded by six butterfly-like women draped in colorful scarves and enthralled in healing dance movements.
The powerful healing colors include teal, purple and gold, and the butterfly motif is prominent on five of the earrings worn by the women in the painting because butterflies are the fascinating symbols of resilience.
Synthia SAINT JAMES is a world renowned multicultural visual artist, and award-winning author and/or illustrator of 17 children's books, several poetry and affirmation books, a cookbook, a play, a monologue, and 2 marketing books.
